SEATTLE -- Following days of violent confrontations with protesters, police in Seattle have largely withdrawn from a neighborhood where protesters have created a festival-like scene that has President Donald Trump fuming.

Trump taunted Gov. Jay Inslee and Mayor Jenny Durkan about the situation on Twitter and said the city had been taken over by “anarchists."


“Take back your city NOW. If you don’t do it, I will,” Trump tweeted.

The “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” sprung up after police on Monday removed barricades near the East Precinct and basically abandoned the structure after officers used tear gas, pepper spray and flash bangs over the weekend to disperse demonstrators they said were assaulting them with projectiles...................

This isn't Trump pretending. It's Trump ranting out of control, like a pathetic and mad mob boss terrified he is losing his base of power. And that is exactly what he is. Except for the "boss" part. He's nothing more than a Capone wannabe threatening "dose guys what don't do like he wants 'em to do."

Look at the line. Sniff at it. Taste it -- but only lightly, because it's really bitter and shallow.

Now put it in a balloon over the head of a caricatured Trump in a pin-stripe suit, his face sallow, his forehead deeply wrinkled not with thought but with rage, his fists pounding on his desk, papers flying amid dust clouds. Add to that picture the people he's bellowing at, sitting in front of him -- 2 guys, Inslee and Durkan, looking at each other, seen in profile, laughing with looks of surprised amazement on their faces, enjoying the impotent fury of a truly powerless megalomaniac.
