Kushner has "no fear" about sending his kids to school amid pandemic

Source: CBS News

Washington — Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law and a White House senior adviser, said he has "no fear" about sending his own children back to school for in-person learning for the upcoming academic year, even as the coronavirus has forced students and staff in some school districts already back in session into quarantine.

"This virus impacts people in different ways," Kushner said in an interview with "Face the Nation." "We know a lot more now than we did, and assuming — our school is not opening up five days a week, I wish they were — but we absolutely will be sending our kids back to school, and I have no fear in doing so."

Kushner and his wife, Ivanka Trump, send their children to a Jewish day school in Washington, according to the New York Times. A fall 2020 reopening plan from the school released in early August said it will be beginning the school year with an off-campus and outdoor model, in which students in grades 1 through 8 will primarily use distance learning for academic instruction, with "regular in-person opportunities for outdoor education and community building."

Still, Kushner said he is not concerned about his children's possible exposure to the coronavirus.

What's to worry? There's only the potential of them spreading the virus to their grand parents. Oh that's right. Their grandpa despises kids.

On average, private schools were smaller than public schools. In fall 2015, the average private school had 166 students and the average public school had 526 students. The pupil/teacher ratio was 11.9 at private schools, which was lower than the overall ratio of 16.2 at public schools.

Parents whose behavior puts their children at risk are prosecuted and their children removed by Protective Services for their protection. Of course this doesn't apply to the wealthy who often raise dysfunctional uncontrollable brats like Trump.

Events do point to him being another psychopath (eg his determination that mainly Democratic states would have Covid deaths, so there was no need to push a national policy). So this is no reassurance at all.

Kushner's kids are NOT doing in-classroom learning yet, so of course he's not afraid for their safety. Just like, so long as Mike Tyson is hundreds of miles away from me I have no fear of challenging him to a fight. If he were in my living room I'd certainly have second thoughts about running my mouth and making that claim.

There was a lot of talk about that early on - haven’t heard much about it since.

My wife HATES when I leave the house. I’ve had to go into the office a bit (mostly the only one there) and she hates it. I go through a whole process in the garage before I enter the house.
