“They’re liars,” Berger told HuffPost on Tuesday. He added: “It’s not fair use. It’s stealing other people’s ideas and passing them off as their own. And that’s the @fuckjerry business model. Profit is always the number one. That’s the motive.”

Berger accused The Lincoln Project of being a “big grift” in which Republican strategists rake in millions of dollars from liberals.

“It’s just disgusting,” he said. “When money’s involved, especially tens of millions of dollars that they’re raising by bilking these ‘Resistance’ people, then definitely there’s a higher standard.”

The Lincoln Project should be paying the content creators they’re scraping from or properly promoting and attributing the work, Berger said. And simply embedding a video into a tweet (like the example below) isn’t good enough, he added.

“Sharing that way is bullshit from an account like that,” Berger said. “They could easily retweet my actual tweet and tag me. ... Doing it that way gives them all the likes and followers.”

I understand people are hurting, and paying for content fairly is good business. But now that everyone is a “citizen journalist”, the supply of images is abundant, but the demand remains steady. That just means the smaller players get squeezed.

It’s business. The creative content I sold for $5,000 in 1997 fetches about $500 today. The key is, a professional has to stay where the supply is low.

Regardless, he got what he wanted—attention—with his complaint. Move on.

At first the complaints didn't come as valid because it was either retweet or they quickly gave credit. I spent a couple hours defending them from some unfair criticisms. I can excuse a couple mistakes here and there, but it does seem to happen a bit more than I can explain away. I don't really understand why they would do that. Maybe it's just their social media person/people who need to be dealt with, but they need to do something. Just give the credit and keep up the often hilarious ads.

Lifelong Democrat (since birth, voting since '72) They are on our side in this fight...the right side...

The ads are better than most of those made by actual Democrats. I tell everyone I know to look for them, and email the Youtubes.

We need all the help we can get to rid the country of Trump and Trumpism. We could be fussy if we were ahead by an insurmountable amount, but we're not.
