Trump to 'rally' with Rush Limbaugh listeners

Trump plans to “rally” over the airwaves Friday with listeners of talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh as he continues his outreach to voters through conservative media while being confined to the White House during his recovery from the coronavirus.

On Thursday, Limbaugh announced he is handing over his show to Trump for the “largest virtual rally in radio history” on the nationally syndicated program. Listeners are encouraged to send questions for the president to answer during the show.

“It will be a great honor to speak with President Donald Trump live for the Largest Radio Rally in history!” Limbaugh said on his website. “Do you have a special question for our Commander-in-Chief? I can’t promise that your question will be selected, but you never know. This audience is filled with the most informed listeners and patriots of all time. I know you will flood this inbox with sheer brilliance!”

“Looking forward to speaking with the Great Rush and guests!” Trump tweeted.

trump and limbaugh are also doing this to intimidate GOP politicians thinking of bailing on him — like when he posed with him playing golf (above) immediately after the mueller report

it’s a major miscalculation to believe that massive audience is an indicator of actual american demand for hate and lies vs 50mil a week tuning into the loudest radio stations in the country because they’re loud ubiquitous and in most states the only free easy source for news, sports, weather, traffic etc while working or driving. there are huge secondary and tertiary audiences

there are a lot of apathetic and too-busy and low information last minute voters that putin figured out how to use at least as far back as 2008.

limbaugh's been selling that line for 30 years that RW radio reflects demand for the lies and hate and ignorance - it's merely a monopoly of the loudest stations in the country they protect it. limbaugh isn't reflecting what his audience thinks - he's telling them what to think (fed by GOP and kremlin think tanks) and 200 other blowhards on 1500 radio stations repeat it because if they don't the dittoheads will call their shows to correct them

one thing that audience is not — activists and hard core democrats and political analysts who can’t figure out why they keep losing no-brainer elections and issues like media and health reform
