NOGALES, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Four people were arrested in Nogales after a man allegedly waved a gun at a group of supporters of President Donald Trump Saturday, Oct. 31.
The Nogales Police Department said officers went to the 200 block of West Mariposa Road about a group of people not wearing masks.
The NPD said officers met with the group of supporters. Then officers were told about a man in a black sedan who was allegedly waving a gun at the group.
The officers found the suspect in a nearby parking lot. Another man and two women were also seen in the area.

Trump caravan went through Tucson yesterday, back and forth on every main street, then headed south. I avoided being out in it but it could have been the same group. The incident time matches up with the drive time from southeast Tucson to Nogales.

(127 posts)Is made up of mostly Mexican-American officers. Go take a look at their web or FB pages. I have personally had contact with NOPD, as I have lived close by in RIo Rico. I am Mexican-American, and was never treated poorly. Unfortunately the young man arrested probably either felt intimidated by the trump supporters, or was just simply pissed off seeing them in that area.
Officers obviously observed more, since the article states, "The charges include aggravated assault on an officer, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, threatening and intimidation, endangerment and reckless display of a firearm." Being that it is a small town, they may have had previous contact with Rivera.
If the Trump supporters were looking for a confrontation, they got it. I wonder about their behavior, as the original call was for someone not wearing masks. You don't go down to a border town and stir crap up then wonder why someone confronts you.

(2,189 posts)No one was bothering them. They were trying to terrorize citizens who were using their 1A rights.

(36,053 posts)their playbook aims to confuse the public to foment "bothsiderism" and get Trump to dominate this perversion of history.
The alt-right pose as patriot victims of 'commie Demoncrats' violence, and their uniformed white supremacist officer allies come in later to beat and arrest any antifa who show up to defend against MAGAT militias parades of intimidation.
These are NOT caravans. These a militia truck parades of white supremacist vigilantes.
Every major city will be full of them. The FBI should have a database of license plate numbers by now.

Someone doesn't wear a mask? Gun
People of another color in your precious neighborhood? Gun
Someone brown grilling out in the public park? Gun
Someone daring to drive on the freeway in a bus painted up how you don't like ... Guns.
Governor asks you to wear a mask? Gun
This is ridiculous.
