Russian Media Wants Moscow to Grant Asylum to Trump

Source: The Daily Beast

Russian state media—a reliable barometer of the mood at the Kremlin—remains fixated on election-related events in America. Affectionately referring to Donald Trump as “our Donald,” “Trumpusha” and “Comrade Trump,” Russian lawmakers, experts and pundits repeatedly have expressed their concerns about the future of Moscow’s all-time favorite U.S. president.

Co-host of Russian state TV news talk show 60 Minutes Olga Skabeeva brought up the possibility that President Trump would end up seeking asylum in Russia to escape any prosecutions in the United States following the conclusion of his sole presidential term. Skabeeva emphasized that this was by no means a joking matter: “It’s all very serious,” she said, as she pondered out loud about the nature of criminal charges Trump might soon be facing.

Experts in the studio enthusiastically discussed the likelihood of Trump being charged with a bevy of offenses from tax evasion to fraud and sexual assault. They concurred that Trump’s presidential pardon would not help him in state cases, unlike the recently advanced constitutional amendment in Russia that secured lifetime immunity from criminal prosecution for the country’s former presidents. Russian President Vladimir Putin can relate to Trump on a very personal level—not only where it comes to a ruthless pursuit of power, but also with respect to the intense fear of accountability if that power was to ever slip away. While Putin’s grip on Russia is feverishly safeguarded, Trump's fate is far from certain.

It drew in voters committed to America, and they could read into it whatever they wanted. So my subliminal read might not have matched yours, but we both voted the same way. It was a great nod to the idea that everything doesn't have to be weaponized into partisan, divisive statements, that there is a durable and constant political middle where understatement thrives. Masterful, really. One could imagine any of our best presidents having uttered the same thing.

I think his intelligence can only process evil stuff, mafia type stuff, and he is willing to commit treason for personal gain. I do believe that he is looking for an escape because he knows that the likelihood of him and maybe some or all of his children going to jail is high, so I would not put it past him to try to negotiate something with Russia so that he can move there.

He is not an idiot, he is just evil to the core, and he can only rationalize evil stuff.

45. Let Russia take their stooge
Wed Dec 9, 2020, 01:59 PM
Dec 2020

They showered him with money, cyber support, counsel, and smiles of approval from Daddy Vlad.

They made sure their stooge was operational to their advantage.

tRumpy revered Daddy Vlad--probably the only other person aside from Ivanka who somehow managed to hold his attention and praise. He tried to kowtow to other dictators, but likely under the counsel of Daddy Vlad in order to further destroy our America--more for Vlad than for tRumpy who was enjoying feeling like a powerful man himself, but without foresight and intelligence. He probably even made sure the presidential seal was on his toilet paper in order to constantly be reminded of his important station.

tRumpy made off like a bandit. He had a job he didn't actually do, but with all its trappings and perks which he fully enjoyed. The media hung on his every lie, he fattened his offshore bank accounts--including those of his spawn, and had White House staff treat him like the most powerful man in the world as they tiptoed around him while he watched TV and yelled at his aides. He propped up his golf resorts with our money and languished at them for a full one third of his four year term with Secret Service following his every move--even on the greens. He redesigned Air-force One to his garish tastes, and much of his quarters at Our White House as well. He never spent a penny the whole time.

So let Russia have him.

They will have to indulge him and that will grow tiresome. He came to think of himself as Daddy Vlad's favorite. He will continue to want the attention of their media and public. He can't help himself. It won't be long before he is invited to tea.
