President Trump on Friday said he would not attend President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, a break with decades of tradition as he stews over his defeat.

"To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th,” Trump tweeted.

Vice President Pence is expected to attend the event in some capacity, a source said Thursday.

Trump is such a coward he will be nowhere near any potential violence. He promised at his rally on Wednesday to go with his supporters to the Capitol. Instead, he cowered in the White House, cheering on the destruction. I hope the military is put in charge of inauguration security because the at least some of the Capitol Police cannot be trusted.

Now, we could all breathe more easily if some brave White House doctor would simply sedate Trump for the next 12 days. His aides might even agree to that.
