Rep. Adam Schiff urges Biden to withhold intelligence briefings from Trump

Source: axios

40 mins ago - Politics & Policy

House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) is calling on President-elect Biden to deny intelligence briefings to President Trump once he leaves office, arguing that Trump has politicized intelligence and poses a national security risk.

What he's saying: "I don't think he can be trusted with it now, and in the future he certainly can't be trusted," Schiff told CBS' "Face the Nation," on Sunday.

The California lawmaker said he agrees with a recent op-ed by Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence Sue Gordon, who served during the Trump administration, in which she called on Biden to break a longtime tradition and deny Trump routine briefings and access to classified information.

Schiff said he worries that U.S. allies don't trust Trump, and that some nations "probably started withholding information from us because they didn't trust the president would safeguard that information and protect their sources and methods. And that makes us less safe."...................

This is the wisest thing I have heard in awhile.
Trump would probably sell classified info to anyone who wrote or said nice things about him!!

I suspect it could be because they may have told Biden they want to keep feeding Trump intelligence - FAKE intelligence, just to see if he or Kushner are high security risks for the intelligence they already know (more Kushner than Trump since Trump's brain is oatmeal.) I don't trust Kushner. He's been seeking lots of intelligence, and that is highly suspicious. Trump will retain just enough to tell Kushner what he's briefed on, though.

...just Trump. We have insurrectionists still in government even after Trump is golfing full time. You think wingnuts like Brooks, Boebert and Greene will have any problem slipping Trump a note on something they want him to go off on to his base? Now, there is the little issue of consequences for that but damage could be done long before the consequences hit home. Question is not only will Trump (and Jared and Ivanka) lose their briefings, will they lose their security clearances? Then if they come in possession of classified info and do anything with it other than report it to the FBI, they have a problem. This is a hydra....losing only one head does not slay the beast.

If he gives classified secrets to our enemies, isn't that a chargeable crime? I'm sure that DOJ, DOD, and State would all say pull it, so they probably will. Rip the bandage off all at once, let him bitch (maybe), and get on with rebuilding America's relationships in the world. He's confused the world stage long enough. Treat him as irrelevant, as he needs to be.

That Trump and his Spawn have already been sending intel to Putin and others already throughout his presidency.
Jared and his trailer trash barbie have also been doing it with profits in off shore accounts held by Trump Inc.

He will, if he continues to get intel briefings, use them as a continued revenue stream and profit center......

Of course, we have already witnessed what Republican House and Senate members of intelligence committees and other secret briefings do with information they have been previously been briefed on......

I wouldn't doubt that they will immediately transfer all the info they are privy to, to all other "Powers That Be" in their party of supreme grifting....

Where and when, will the entirety of the RepubliCON's never ending, corrupt shit stop ??????????

It truly is like a game of jeopardy........"Who is the director of every single action by Trump and Republican Administration......."

"WHO IS VLADIMIR PUTIN"......for the win...................Seriously, folks, think about it............

I have been told that the Russian people are laughing their asses off at how easily Putin was able to destroy the U.S. and Democracy, without having started a war or firing a single missile or rocket.........

Make them available to trump, as is customary (until he is convicted)

But only in written form, in secluded, secured room in DC, where only he is allowed with no attendants, no phones, no electronic devices.

And for good measure, hang a large picture of a smiling Obama on the wall.

That would disqualify post people from a security clearance.

He also associates with groups that advocate the violent overthrow of the Government.

How may bankruptcies has he had? Does he have any pending litigation?

It is difficult to believe that he could get or maintain a security clearance.
