Graham calls on Schumer to hold vote to dismiss article of impeachment against Trump

Source: The Hill

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is urging incoming Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to hold a vote to dismiss the article of impeachment against President Trump passed by the House last week.

Graham wrote in a letter to Schumer on Sunday that the New York Democrat is seeking "vengeance and political retaliation" in his first act as majority leader instead of beginning "national healing."

"While the Vice President and Senate Republicans rejected unconstitutional actions, you seek to force upon the Senate, what would itself be but one more unconstitutional action in this disgraceful saga-the impeachment trial of a former president," Graham added.

House Democrats introduced and the passed one article of impeachment against Trump for "inciting insurrection" after a mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol earlier this month.

I am so tired of GOP hypocrisy. I hope that the Mueller investigation results in criminal prosecution of Trump for obstruction of justice. Then we can see what Lindsey thinks about unconstitutional actions.

Sierra Club, 10-22-2020

"WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, 12 days before the end of a presidential election, Lindsey Graham held an illegitimate Senate Judiciary Committee vote to advance Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. The committee’s 10 Democrats refused to attend the sham vote. Rules of the Committee state that two members of the minority party must be present for a vote to be held, but Graham ignored the rules and held the vote anyway.

There has never been a Supreme Court nominee voted on -- let alone confirmed -- this close to a presidential election. "

January 6 was only 11 days ago. It was all over TV for a week.
Didn't Lady G contact the Georgia Secretary of State to engage in an election fraud conspiracy. Lindsey has been double dealing from the bottom of the deck since he entered public office. In short, he's compromised and methinks on the Putin payroll with the rubles going to an offshore money laundry.

In reality the alpha male in a wolf pack leads not by threats or aggression but by character. If he had to lead by threats he wouldn't be an alpha male. He's the one the pack trusts. the most important part of a wolf pack is really the omega male or the "underdog" . if they lose the underdog the whole pack falls apart. The reason I bring this up because it's like the "boiling frogs" bullshit from right wing sources. Having eaten a lot of frog legs and lived with wolves I know they are when both bullshit. When I raced sled dogs the leader was the one who could handle the mental pressure of being in front not because they were more aggressive or stronger. Human leadership is similar in my book. We go to the ones whose judgement we trust not the bully. Also our job is to protect the weakest. If we fail at that we are screwed.

Dogs are basically domestic wolves and they do the same kind dominance.

I know because I owned a dominent dog. He was real sweet with people but if another dog didn't accept him as the alpha there'd be a fight. I had to break up several fights.

Also when the omega wolf dies another takes its place.

That said I wasn't really thinking of wolves when I said, "Alpha male". It's more of a generic term. Chimpanzees, Lions and several species of other animals all have a pecking order.
