(CNN)The Biden administration on Thursday revealed new details about Russia's extensive interference in the 2016 and 2020 US elections, including disclosing for the first time that a Russian agent who received internal polling data from the Trump campaign in 2016 passed it along to Russia's intelligence services.

The new revelations about Moscow's election meddling came as part of the Biden administration's slate of sanctions against Russian actors on Thursday over Russia's election interference as well as the SolarWinds hack and Russia's ongoing occupation of Crimea.

After then-President Donald Trump repeatedly denied or downplayed Russia's election interference in 2016, senior Trump administration officials, including Trump himself, refused to acknowledge or elevate Russian operations in 2020 and sought to characterize China as the greater threat.

The sanctions also included the US government's acknowledgment for the first time that a Russian-linked intelligence operative named Konstantin Kilimnik provided information on Trump campaign polling strategy and data to the Russian intelligence services in 2016.

4. here's my scenario as I think it played out...

We know the Russians had demographic information. Who lives where in key precincts.
That is now confirmed again.
We know the Russians hacked into poll books but supposedly, we are told, they did nothing.

I say:
The Russians hacked electronic polling books and used the demographic information to add names in the poll books. And then on election day they hacked the poll books and marked all or some of those 'voters' as having cast a ballot. Then undetected, they hacked the voting machines and added those 'votes' to the totals of Herr KFC.

That the Russians would have the information and the GRU, a cyber capability of their Army, would not use it is a ridiculous and dangerous assumption.

7. Trump polling data?

What about Clinton/DNC data of any kind?

Where else was the Trump camp given help and by whom and why exactly?

We know WikiLeaks published stolen DNC and HRC communications most of which was boring, but every day, day in day out, dozens of time a day we had to hear about "Hillary's Emails" widely distributed and usually derided even by a supposedly "liberal" media. Which, one should think, would at least manage to remain neutral regarding elections. Of course, they'll run smear ads by about anyone no questions ask and so you'd think they'd hold off piling on to a least maintain the appearance of being neutral, but...

Who arranged for that to happen? So much more needs to be seriously looked at considering the shortcomings of that Mueller report we trusted to uncover this type of thing.
