BUSTED: Kansas woman arrested after daughter bragged about her role in Trump's insurrection

Source: Raw Story

By Ray Hartmann
Published April 25, 2021

Jennifer Ruth Parks, arrested by the FBI Friday in connection with the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, was apprehended in an unusual way: Someone tipped off the feds with a screen shot of a text in which her daughter was beaming about her mother's attendance at the protest.

Parks, of Kansas, and her friend Edith Schwemmer, both attended the Trump rally and then entered the Capitol after the doors were broken, according to the FBI complaint citing voluntary January 17 interviews with the two. The report also said the bureau received this tip six days earlier:

"The tipster shared a text message screen shot between Parks' daughter and an unknown individual where Parks' daughter wrote: 'So depressed over all of the cheating in the election right now. Mom and her friend went to Washington for the March. Wish I could have gone too. Lol.' Parks' daughter further wrote: 'We should all be climbing over those walls. They pushed us too far.'"

I believe in Karma, but it seems we are having far too long to wait to see it these days/months/years.......

I have been amused at just how stupid these insurrectionists are. Then again, I'm glad for them beings so stupid, because if they were any smarter, or better organized, I fear the outcome would have been far worse....................

I am truly frightened, not for us, but for the future of our children and our grandchildren............

want to take over the country.

Sometimes I think it would be hilarious to let them. Screw it...LET these uni-browed morons try to run a machine as staggeringly complex as this country with the collective brains that evolution gave to a single underachieving flatworm. Try to maintain this incredibly interdependent web of interrelationships that, as frayed at the edges as it is becoming, still keeps the shelves stocked and the gas pumps running when you can't even manage to commit a federal crime without taking selfies and bragging about it all over the internet.

I'd LOVE to watch it...

from somewhere safe...

like space.

They're living out fantasies and delusions.
They think things now are akin to 1776.
They are permanently stuck in some past that never happened the way they think it did.

Here's my personal sadness about all of this. Most of these nuts from "Insurrection Day" are from my age group.
There are people I've known my entire life who are now a heartbeat away from right wing insanity, and that's not who they once were.
They were cool and sensible at one time. What changes people? Is it age? I'm the same age as them. Is it environment? In the case of those I know, they live in the same environment they always did -- working class/blue collar, urban, no far-right parents that I can remember. Very few, if any, are under-employed, and most do pretty well for working people (building trades, etc.).

I keep asking, "What happened?". "What's going so wrong for you in your life that you're willing to burn it all down?".

way of looking at it is that these are the canaries in the coal mine of societal/environmental collapse. I've known a lot of people that seemed sane and balanced on the surface, but who have cracked under the stress of too many rats and too little cheese.

I agree ashredux. And all the effects the delusion, the lies, the anger must have on their beings. The daughter mentions being depressed — she need not be. But she appears trapped in the delusion.

So glad I am not.

WTF are you talking about?

YOU have supported the most corrupt, inept mis-administration in the history of our country.

WE fought back and won a fair, honest election by over 7 MILLION votes!

And "WE" pushed "THEM?"

She's correct - we DID push them - out the door and for some, hopefully, into a cell.

Us Democrats deal with voter suppression, winning the popular vote and still not winning the White House over and over, a bogus electoral college system, a Senate system where tiny white states have huge unbalanced powers, always bailing out Repug administrations who leave the country and climate in shambles, and on and on.

Yet these cretins dare say we pushed THEM too far? Wow, just wow.
