Matt Gaetz's ex-girlfriend to cooperate with federal authorities in sex trafficking investigation

Washington (CNN)Federal authorities investigating alleged sex trafficking by GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz have secured the cooperation of the congressman's ex-girlfriend, according to people familiar with the matter.

The woman, a former Capitol Hill staffer, is seen as a critical witness, as she has been linked to Gaetz as far back as the summer of 2017, a period of time that has emerged as a key window of scrutiny for investigators. She can also help investigators understand the relevance of hundreds of transactions they have obtained records of, including those involving alleged payments for sex, the sources said.

News of the woman's willingness to talk, which has not been previously reported, comes just days after the Justice Department formally entered into a plea agreement with Joel Greenberg, a one-time close friend of Gaetz whose entanglement with young women first drew the congressman onto investigators' radar.

CNN reported last week that investigators were pressing for the woman's cooperation. The sources would not say whether she had reached a formal cooperation agreement.

It is Gaetz is who called Greenberg his "wing man." That is why Greenberg is a witness in this case.

That is why virtually every co-conspirator witness is a scumbag. You're not going to have nice people as witnesses to these sort of sex trafficking crimes. There would be few convictions if only nice people could be witnesses.

because if "she has been linked to Gaetz as far back as the summer of 2017", was "present on a September 2018 trip to the Bahamas", you wonder when he broke up with Nestor Galban's sister. That was during Nestor's junior high school year, and he graduated in 2020, so that was 2018-19. So this ex overlapped with the sister (who was close to Gaetz's family, not just a friend with benefits) for over a year.

He had women he engaged in coitus with after money has changed hands and at least one other below the age of consent he raped.

I think that's why he has pretended to be engaged and was trying to rope Fucker Carlson into admitting he was attached to another woman. He desperately needs to appear as if he has normal relationships with adults of the opposite sex when the reality is he does not.
