'We didn't win.' Trump appears to admit Biden won election in Fox News interview

Source: Yahoo News/The State

More than seven months after the 2020 election, former President Donald Trump appeared to admit his defeat on Wednesday.

In an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Trump said the results of the 2020 election were “shocking.” President Joe Biden won the election with 306 electoral votes to Trump’s 232, but the results continue to be disputed.

“We got them by surprise in ‘16, and in ‘20 we did much better than we did in ‘16,” Trump told Hannity. “Shockingly, we were supposed to win easily at 64 million votes and we got 75 million votes. We didn’t win, but let’s see what happens on that. The whole thing was shocking.”

Biden carried key battleground states that include Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona. He had more than 81 million total votes, while Trump had just over 74 million. Both totals were more than any presidential candidate in history.

Trump said in the interview he wants Biden to do well as president.

FG45 will now try to divide us on issues such as he did today - windmill cancer and birds, so you libs ought to give up on Biden's green energy. This is how he rolls, a Machiavellian pragmatist with a quest for power.

He keeps talking about how he was told he would win if he got 64M votes and he got 75M. He doesn't understand basic math and it's clear from everything he does he never comprehends there is another side to the equation. Great you got 75M but that doesn't happen in isolation the other guy got a lot more.

It's the most honest and insightful thing he's said that explains his lack of business sense and the reason he goes bankrupt all the time. He has no concept of competition.

In other words, "in a few weeks, we'll have proof from the Arizona audit that Biden won by massive voter fraud, and I'll be reinstated."

Trump isn't "admitting" anything. Unsurprising. He was trained to live by Vince Lombardi's aphorism, "show me a good loser, and I'll show you a loser." He is psychologically unable to admit defeat in anything.

Imo, that he thinks the attempts at audits will show he won. He is truly delusional so that the only answer in his so-called brain is the election was stolen and “seeing what happens” means he will be president again.

The truly disgusting thing is that any system allowed him into the WH in the first place.

He's known all along that he didn't win. This comment reveals that he knew it and he was more than willing to cheat and even overthrow the government if it meant he could get his power back.

This line tells me that "We" (Conservative/Republicans) didn't win.
And "but let’s see what happens on that.", shows he hoping that somehow the
election will be overturned.
