Washington – Former president Donald Trump is offering to help back a primary challenger to Rep. John Katko, one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach him in January.

Trump made his offer in a handwritten letter delivered today to the chairman of the Onondaga County Conservative Party.

Trump wrote his note over a copy of an April 23 article posted on Syracuse.com with the headline, “Onondaga County Conservative Party dumps John Katko over Trump impeachment vote.”

Bernie Ment, the party’s chairman, said he received the letter by UPS express delivery. The letter was in an inner envelope with the presidential seal and a return address of Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private club in Palm Beach, Fla.

According to a quick Wikipedia search, it's one of the only districts that Biden won that is represented by a Republican. Biden carried the district 53 - 44 while Katko was re-elected 53 - 43. If they primary him out with a whacko, this is a good opportunity for a Dem pick-up.

Even there, he has cut down on hiring to cut expenses. Why, he is so strapped for money he had to hire his bodyguard to be COO of the tRump organization. It's either that or it is so crime-riddled he didn't dare hire a COO from outside. Or both.

He used to do this sort of thing quite often before he was president. He'd clip a newspaper and magazine article or photo and scrawl something on it, then mail it to a person he thought would be interested. Such a peculiar person. I wonder what the recipients thought of his odd habit.
