Alberta imposing provincewide COVID-19 restrictions, vaccine passport system amid surge in cases, hospitalizations

Private indoor social gatherings for fully-vaccinated individuals will be limited to a maximum of 10 people, from the same household and one additional household. There are no gathering restrictions for children under 12.

Those 12 years and older who are unvaccinated are prohibited from attending any indoor social gathering.

Starting Sept. 20, Albertans over the age of 12 will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative privately-paid COVID-19 test from within the previous 72 hours in order to access non-essential businesses and events that choose to take part in what Kenney called the “restriction exemption program.”

Businesses, such as restaurants, bars, entertainment and recreation facilities, that adopt the system will be able to operate as usual without any of the new restrictions, as long as they deny access to unvaccinated individuals or those who cannot provide a negative test result. Documentation of a medical exemption will be accepted as well.

7. I got the alert on my phone tonight, we will need to prove vaccinations to enter

most places as of tomorrow they said but when I tried to download the app to get my official vaccination card, they will not be available to the 19th. I was 8,500 something in line. Just another screwup by the Kenny government, put this in place when they do not have their shit together. At least I took pictures of my vaccination confirmations and they are on my phone.
