The Capital Area Food Bank received a six-figure donation from the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation to help fight food insecurity. The donation brings the companys financial commitment to the food bank to over $1 million in the past five years.
Enterprise donated $150,000 to the Capital Area Food Bank as a part of the car rental agencys own hunger-fighting effort launched in 2016, called Enterprises Fill Your Tank program.

Enterprise pledged an additional $65 million to its Fill Your Tank program in November, which works with both national and international hunger relief organizations. By 2026, the Fill Your Tank will have collectively donated to $115 million to its various partners.

Maybe I'm pushing my luck trying to assert that this is news of national interest.
Or maybe it is. I report; you decide.

(4,996 posts)is part of the "Enterprise Group" which is privately held so detailed financials aren't readily available. Beyond their total revenue ($22.5B), their profitability and executive compensation are not readily available.
It is estimated, however, that CEO compensation is in the upper range for their executive compensation: $500K+ but probably no more than $700K.

(480 posts)"Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the largest rental car company in the United States, with more than 9,000 "home city" locations, and 419 airport locations."
So this $150k donation cost each location $15.93 of profit for 1 day (assuming the $48 average economy rental rate).
Somebody catch me before I faint from excitement...
