Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson will seek reelection
Source: AP
By SCOTT BAUER MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, one of former President Donald Trump’s biggest backers, announced Sunday that he will seek reelection in the battleground state, breaking his promise not to seek a third term. Johnson announced his decision via email two days after a pair of Republicans with knowledge of his decision told The Associated Press that he was close to launching a bid. Johnson over the past year has been a leading voice in downplaying the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot and the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to remaining a vocal Trump supporter. The race is sure to be one of the most hotly contested in the country next year in purple Wisconsin. President Joe Biden won the state by fewer than 21,000 votes in 2020 after a similarly narrow win by Trump in 2016. Johnson won by nearly 5 points in 2010, his first race for office, and then by just over 3 points in 2016. Both times he defeated Democrat Russ Feingold. Johnson’s announcement that he will run again came a day after Republican Sen. John Thune, of South Dakota, said he would seek a fourth term. No other Senate retirements are likely beyond the five Republicans and one Democrat, Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont, who have already announced plans to step down. ![]() FILE - Sen. 4. I feel really bad
For the good people in Wisconsin. His district is probably as corrupt as mine in North Carolina. These fools would re-elect Cawthorn and probably bring Meadows back as Gov, after treason conviction. The great cheese has clogged some Brains like sheet rock would a colon. We got Cheereine, Goodies powder, meth and moonshine as our exports. Meth and shine has rotted brains here. Plus Hate, and white supremacy. We broadcast Fox in the sky like the bat signal 24/7.

12. Crap, I knew that.
Sux even more for Wisconsin. He can smear his stupid state wide. I would like to think if our whole state had a say, Cawthorn would not ever have been a thing.

5. Breaking his word on 2 terms
one reason that Johnson beat Feingold twice, is that Feingold went back on his two term pledge. Now Johnson is doing the same--hopefully Johnson's broken pledge will hurt him.

8. Wis Dems continue to ignore that the uni of Wis supports 3 x-limbaugh pro johnson radio stations
it's really dumb, but it continues to happen election after election all over the country, where at least 260 stations depend on more than 87 universities while they keep helping republicans sell big lies like global warming is a hoax, covid is a hoax, and keep electing asshats like johnson and enabling asshats like manchin
