FOX News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski has died while covering the Ukraine invasion after he was hit by gunfire that injured fellow correspondent Benjamin Hall.
The news outlet made the heartbreaking announcement in a memo to staffers on Tuesday.
"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news this morning regarding our beloved cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski," Fox News said.
According to the outlet, Zakrzewski was killed while reporting fellow correspondent Hall in Horenka, outside of Kyiv, Ukraine, after their vehicle was struck by incoming gunfire.

Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski and Ukrainian journalist killed in Kyiv

A cameraman and a journalist working for Fox News have been killed in Ukraine, staff at the US network say.
Pierre Zakrzewski, 55, and Oleksandra Kuvshinova, 24, were killed when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire in Horenka, on the outskirts of Kyiv.
Their colleague, Benjamin Hall, 39, was wounded in the incident and remains in hospital.
Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said it was a "heartbreaking day" for the organisation.
