Putin is free to rape and murder the Ukrainians into submission. The only question then will be which country is next.

Coupled with the violent inhumanity and knowing that millions are just fine with that, makes it really disturbing. I guess we really haven't made any significant advances in basic human violence, other than the U.S. finally made lynching a real crime and despite beratement and racism, we have a POC female VP and Supreme. I have to savor these things. But I hear ya.

(16,296 posts)Apparently - Russian troops have been feed the propaganda that Ukrainians were/are "children eaters" because they were told that during WWII they were starving and ate children. For them to write that meant the troops are being indoctrinated to hate the Ukrainians and , thus, bombing them with those messages seem to make it all justified in their evil,, twisted minds.

It seems Russian people eat up Putin's propaganda 100%.
At the beginning the world blamed Putin but not the Russian people. That is changing.
Soon all of Russia will become the enemy just as regular people in Nazi Germany became enemies for not opposing the regime.

(111,456 posts)No one knows if this was painted before or after the attack. However, if Putin thinks he's going to create panic by targeting women, children and old folks, he's very badly mistaken. He will only generate a white hot fury among formerly pro Russian eastern Ukrainians and we can expect to see them committing a few atrocities, too, as this war drags on.
(The reason I'm a little skeptical about the "for the children" is that Russian guided missiles aren't that well guided)

(9,578 posts)The condition of the rocket after landing, the crater it created, the fairly light damage it sustained, are peculiar and may suggest that the rocket malfunctioned at some point. But the burn marks over the painted letter suggest that the paint went on first, and the burn marks went on top of that.

According to Ukrainian online news resource Apostrophe, Grom-2 is so advanced that it will change the balance of power between Ukraine and Russia, and allow the Ukrainian military to crush the fledgling breakaway republics in the war-torn Donbass region. Citing local experts, the outlet stressed that the Grom-2's range would allow its missiles to target Moscow, "and consequently, any attempt to launch full-scale aggression against Ukraine will end in us hitting targets on Russian territory."
