In a lengthy statement, the Republican leader called the raid unnecessary and unannounced, saying he had been cooperating with the relevant Government agencies.
Trump called the raid prosecutorial misconduct. I stood up to Americas bureaucratic corruption, I restored power to the people, and truly delivered for our Country, like we have never seen before, he said in his statement. The establishment hated it. Now, as they watch my endorsed candidates win big victories, and see my dominance in all polls, they are trying to stop me, and the Republican Party, once more. The lawlessness, political persecution, and Witch Hunt must be exposed and stopped.

These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents, Trump said in the stamement. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before.
Trump claimed the unannounced raid on his home was not necessary or appropriate, and called the matter a weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by democrats. Trump even claimed that agents broke into his safe in an effort to uncover documents.

From a legal perspective, one cannot overstate how big of a deal the Mar A Lago raid is. This decision had to be approved by AG Garland personally, and likely means that the FBI's investigation is nearing its final stages. This is terrible news for Donald Trump.
