Romney Had A Transition Website Ready To Go If He Won

It’s been taken down, but Taegan Goddard has screenshots.
Romney's Transition Site
It appears Mitt Romney's campaign prepared a transition site in the event that he won.

Because he was the boss and what the boss says - GOES. Period. And he still doesn't get that THE PRESIDENCY DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!!!! Government doesn't work that way. That's why Massachusetts was such a mess by the time he left, and went for Obama by a two-to-one margin (61% - 38%).

Didn't bother with a concession speech. Believed his own PR. When you're an insulated CEO, you can do that stuff and get away with it. NOT when you're a public servant (or fancy yourself as one).

What's that saying? Pride goeth before a fall?

..he had no plan to give a speech that acknowledged the President's victory. His staff was to busy building his Victory website to even consider a concession speech.

It really doesn't take a massive amount of manpower to build a website. Did they build it on their own? Surely anyone that paved the way for the Internet had NOTHING to do with that. They didnt have a small part in enabling "those people" to launch the Rmoney Transition Website since they had nothing to do with it. Those people don't exist is the R$ worlds.

This is just so classic Mitt.

I think he was just a hair delusional to the end. He's not someone who has lost too many times in his life. Maybe a little megalomania was in play with visions of himself in the oval office. I have no doubt in my mind Mitt had been on tranquilizers that evening. His speech was slightly slurred and he had slower eye movement than usual.

It was clear at least to me that he had just had a major emotional crash.

It's just one more reason he should never have been closer to the White House than Pennsylvania Avenue.

Mitt was the perfect out of touch candidate and leader -- let's just be thankful he lost convincingly and that there won't be any drawn out legal challenges from the GOP camp. Good riddance, Mittens.
