Rove To Hold Calls With Big Donors Thursday
Source: TPM
Karl Rove, whose outside spending groups poured close to $400 million into 2012 races, will place calls to big donors Thursday and brief them on the election results, according to Politico.
Karl Roves Crossroads outfit is holding a phone calls for its big donors Thursday to sum up the race, said Stan Hubbard, a Minnesota media mogul and mega-donor. Obviously, somebody made a mistake and didnt do things right. Theres no question about that, he said.

Rove may have some angry donors on the line, reports the Huffington Post. "The billionaire donors I hear are livid," a Republican operative told the HuffPo. "There is some holy hell to pay. Karl Rove has a lot of explaining to do I don't know how you tell your donors that we spent $390 million and got nothing."

(3,855 posts)Look at how the mere mention of his name can get Democrats out.
He suckered conservatives to waste hundreds of millions of their money and set them up with a false sense of security.
We need Rove to stay for as long as possible to continue his incompetency among the conservative elite.

(15,953 posts)These guys have been holding back the economy for four years anticipating their big win. That's money they could have made plus the money they donated to Rove and other GOP PAC's down the drain. It's billions of dollars for nothing and to top it all off their taxes are now likely going up. And thanks to the exposure of Romney's tax dodging they may lose some of their legal tax loopholes. It's just the kick in the teeth they needed.

Of course, Rove and his gang have maneuvered it so their orgs are "nonprofit" so maybe the rich R a-holes will be getting a tax deduction, after all. All I can say is, IRS should look into the BS "nonprofit" groups like Xroads.

Now they will be forced to comply since it is not sustainable for them to hold out any longer.

Karl better hire a food taster.
He cost some super rich folks a lot of money.
Along with tax cuts and power.
I don't think they are the forgiving type.
You can't always buy what you want.
I am so proud of the American people for standing up and voting.
I stood outside my polling location for a couple of hours.
There was a steady stream of people coming to vote.
That was so good to see.

(12,606 posts)Any of us could.
The problem is these same donors could give the same amount all over, without hurting their bank accounts (offshore or otherwise), and help Americans in desperate need.
They would rather screw this country with 390 million than help it so screw them.
I hope they are crying, but they probably pay somebody else to do it for them.
Either way Rove has made his $$ so he is laughing.
