(2,542 posts)the felon would be responsible for that death as well?
Sounds like another free pass for these terrorists.

let loose by terror and injury.
I would bot discount that at all.

(5,777 posts)... pepper sprayed in the face. I wouldn't discount it either.
Problem is, you would have to prove causation in court. It's easier to prove if someone dies of a gunshot wound the next day.

(8,347 posts)USCP Officer Brian Sicknick reported to work on 1/6/2021. He was a relatively young member of the Bike Division. He rode a bike at work every day. He was healthy as a mule. He was in an hours long battle on the West Front of the US Capitol with insurrectionists who were trying to overturn an election by a mob. Brian was attacked by chemical munitions including but not limited to bear spray. After his exposure, he was briefly taken off the line and then returned to it to help defend American Democracy. As the battle wound down and control of the building was regained, Brian collapsed in the US Capitol. He was taken by ambulance from the Capitol to the GW hospital where he died the next day. He came to work on 1/6 and never made it home. Brian was killed defending democracy. I hope piece of shit Khater, who was caught on film attacking Officer Sicknick with a chemical agent gets the max that they can give him, I hope his time in jail is long, frightening and miserable. Officer Sicknick gave his life in defense of democracy. Julian Khater is a piece of shit.

(5,777 posts)... that is much different circumstances than I remember. There was one officer who died of a heart attack, so I must have then confused.

(8,347 posts)Metropolitan Officer Fanone was dragged into the crowd and tazed multiple times causing heart attacks (plural). He has Dr over Ed for the most part, but retired on a disability from MPD.
