Putin threatens to tear up fragile Ukraine grain deal in bellicose speech

Vladimir Putin has said he wants to revise a fragile international agreement to allow the export of Ukrainian grain in a move that could threaten the deal and revive fears of a renewed Russian naval blockade in the Black Sea.

During a bellicose speech at an economic conference in Vladivostok, Putin said he would speak with the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, about “limiting the destinations for grain exports”, issuing a false claim that only two of 87 ships leaving Ukraine with grain had gone to developing countries.

The divisive statements came during a speech in which Putin also threatened to cut off all deliveries of gas, oil, and coal to Europe if they imposed a price cap on Russian energy imports. Recalling a Russian fairytale, he said that Europeans could “freeze like the wolf’s tail”.

8. The guy has a lot of videos out

and one from a couple of days ago cited some tiny changes on the periphery that he describes as signs of an erupting volcano below the placid lake surface presented by the Kremlin. I hope he's correct, he's a smart guy and he certainly doesn't deserve this shit.

As an example of "lashing out in all directions," they have deported Benjamin Rich (Bald & Bankrupt on You Tube), who was probably one of their best cultural ambassadors. Rich was mostly apolitical and had a huge fan base inside Russia and outside it as he documented bits of ordinary Russian culture plus the Soviet era building style and public art that are quickly disappearing.

10. Putin must be concerned that there is some point

at which the west will rouse itself and stop his violations of international law and basic human rights. I am not convinced that point exists but Putin cannot know it does not.
