Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane, best known for his role as Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter film franchise, died Friday at 72, according to his agency WME.

Comedy: Nuns on the Run

Shakespeare: Falstaff in Branagh's Henry V.

TV Crime Drama: Cracker (He won BAFTA 3 times)

He perfectly captured Falstaff’s roguish, sad, clownish, tragic charm. If an actor can’t bring off Falstaff’s plea to Prince Hal, “We have heard the chimes at midnight”, he should just pack it in.

I would have given anything to see Coltrane as Falstaff in the Henry IV plays.

as a one-off guest star in the Scottish TV series Still Game, playing a bus driver doing a slow burn. So much fun to watch.

Just found it: Season 3, Episode 3, Dial-a-Bus. On Netflix.
