2 dead, 5 injured in shooting at Yuma, Arizona, gathering: Police

Source: ABC News

At least seven people were shot, two fatally, during a gathering in Yuma, Arizona, late Saturday, police said.

No suspects were in custody Sunday as investigators worked to identify the person or persons who committed the deadly act, police officials said. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible, police said.

the U.S. so far this year and it's only mid-May.

Whenever I go out and return home, such as I just did today, I check the computer and say, "Let me check on the latest mass shooting."

It's not uncommon at all to find one.

Too soon to politicize a tragedy of course. Are we going to just wait until there is no one left to send thoughts and prayers?

and recently told a neighbor who is helping me pack to move that it was only a matter of time before there was a mass shooting there. He seemed uncomfortable with the idea (big time gun erm, "enthusiast" and not well informed about politics) so I didn't press the issue.

Weather started heating up in earnest (100 degrees +) this weekend; murders are more likely in warmer weather.

I go shopping at night and avoid crowds of people until I get out. Lots of trumpers and gun nuts, although this shooting might be specifically related to gang activity (also a factor in certain parts thereabouts; what a great place ).

Can't wait. I'm definitely getting out but just frustrated by how long it's taking to pack and get my house ready for sale.

To give you an idea of the rampant stupidity: Red Don made multiple visits to the area, before, during, and after he was president. The execrable Paul Gosar is my US Rep.

Yes, it's bad.

E County 15th W of the bombing range. I think I'm literally the first house inside the SW corner of Gosar's district. Oh well, at least I can cancel out one of his voters.

She owns a store that is very left wing-oriented and I fear for her safety.

Who have to yet expend more thoughts and prayers, especially on a Sunday, and Mothers Day to Boot. And then they have to be proactive to avoid those of us who rightly blame them for such tragedies. I guess it just sucks to be a conservative.
