Whenever I go out and return home, such as I just did today, I check the computer and say, "Let me check on the latest mass shooting."
It's not uncommon at all to find one.

not fooled
(5,801 posts)and recently told a neighbor who is helping me pack to move that it was only a matter of time before there was a mass shooting there. He seemed uncomfortable with the idea (big time gun erm, "enthusiast" and not well informed about politics) so I didn't press the issue.
Weather started heating up in earnest (100 degrees +) this weekend; murders are more likely in warmer weather.
I go shopping at night and avoid crowds of people until I get out. Lots of trumpers and gun nuts, although this shooting might be specifically related to gang activity (also a factor in certain parts thereabouts; what a great place ).

(5,801 posts)Can't wait. I'm definitely getting out but just frustrated by how long it's taking to pack and get my house ready for sale.
To give you an idea of the rampant stupidity: Red Don made multiple visits to the area, before, during, and after he was president. The execrable Paul Gosar is my US Rep.
Yes, it's bad.
