Jan. 6 rioter who ripped officer's gas mask in 'sadistic' attack sentenced to 7 years

Source: NBC News

WASHINGTON — A Jan. 6 rioter who ripped at an officer's gas mask during the brutal battle in the lower west tunnel leading into the Capitol was sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison on Friday.

Steven Cappuccio was sentenced to 85 months in prison during a sentencing hearing before U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden, a Donald Trump appointee.

The government had sought more than 10 years in federal prison, saying the "sadistic cruelty" of Cappuccio's attack on Officer Daniel Hodges warranted a lengthy sentence.

“How do you like me now, mother f---er?" Cappuccio screamed during the attack. “How do you like me now, f---er?!” He stuck his phone in his mouth, video presented at trial shows, so he could use both hands to attack Hodges. Hodges had to seek medical attention after the attack and had an MRI; footage of the attack on him in the Capitol tunnel played prominently in the Jan. 6 Committee's public hearings.

“The government had sought more than 10 years…”

Every sentencing for these seditionists has a variation of that sentence. So common the DoJ appeared to the courts to take its sentencing recommendations more seriously.

They haven’t. God, why?

I feel no sympathy for this assclown. he can go fuck himself he attacked a man pinned in a door. 7 years is not long enough in my opinion, but that said, I hope it is a miserable 7. I hope he is terrified every day, worried for his life as those who he attacked were on 1/6. Speaker Pelosi's staff that was trapped in their office were terrified of what may become of them, may he share the same fear.

From the Washington Post
As the vandals wreaked havoc through Pelosi’s office, her staff members remained hidden under a table, listening as the mob called out for them and their boss.

“They were vocally saying, ‘Where’s the speaker? We know she has staff. They’re here someplace. We’re going to find them,’ ” Pelosi told Stahl.

“The evidence is now that — that it was a well-planned, organized group with leadership and guidance and direction,” the speaker added. “And the direction was to go get people.”

The FBI has confirmed agents are investigating whether some rioters stormed the Capitol with the intent to kill lawmakers or take hostages.

It's burnt, stale coffee from a 20 year-old Bunn clunker for him from now on.

Served up by a guy in a hair net named Cheech, who winks at him every time he goes by.

It is very well written. The author goes to great lengths to document the lead up to 1/6, the day of and the amazing work that in line volunteer sleuths did in the aftermath. It is a really good read.

But still, seven years in prison is a good chunk of your life. Long enough for a spouse to file for divorce, kids to become strangers and friends to move on.

his style is neither inspirational nor spiritual. He is the carnival barker at the geek show or the announcer of wrestling.

He did NOT create this basket of deplorables, that creation has been many years in the making.... it is so simple to grab most folks by their genitals and then massage their hate. Faux news was expert (and they were not the first) at cute blonds with long legs and short skirts and glass desks with low cameras to get the attention then fill the distracted rube with visions of dark colored beastmen boinking their daughters. When the media and the courts (including the supremes) are in the bag and "Citizens United" has turned the legislative branch into a whore house where no perversion is forbidden and no one cares where the billions of (say Rubles) are coming from (cuz that is legal) then anyone (say putin) can put any asshat in front of the parade.

But he ain't leading nuthin.

tfg is a zero.
