Trump Caught Moving Money Around to Pay Massive Tax Bill

Source: daily beast

HIGH WIRE TRANSFER

Trump wasn't supposed to be moving significant amounts of money around without notifying a court-appointed auditor. He just got caught paying himself so he could pay his taxes.

Trump isn’t supposed to be moving any money around without alerting Barbara S. Jones, a former federal judge in New York tasked with babysitting the Trump Organization for its relentlessly shady business practices. But on Wednesday, she notified a New York state court about some major bank transfers that were never brought to her attention by the Trumps.

Jones described the way she discovered the Trump family company once again breaking the rules during an audit of its finances in recent months. In the run-up to the ongoing bank fraud trial that threatens to vaporize the real estate company and boot the Trumps from the business world, Justice Arthur F. Engoron ordered the company to not start shifting around funds to avoid paying what’s becoming an increasingly threatening massive penalty.

That meant the Trumps had to notify Jones anytime they moved more than $5 million out of the billionaire’s massive trust. Except they didn’t.

Jones said she and her team recently spotted unusual activity when reviewing 10 months of bank statements from 12 separate accounts belonging to the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust. They found that Trump had pulled out $40 million in “three cash transfers” without ever notifying her....................

Why am I not surprised at Trump breaking the rules ones AGAIN!

Donald Trump just got caught quietly shifting around $40 million. But his explanation is wild.

He apparently paid a whopping $29 million in taxes--plus a ton related to losing his rape trial.

The court can then decide which transactions are allowed.

Past that, when the penalty phase happens - the court can fine Trump $40 million personally. He'll have to pay it back to the company on top of the fines levied against the company.

Might also be a contempt of court charge in there.

Then of course he'll do whatever in necessary to get them paid.

As to where the money really came from, my guess is that most of it came from a couple million $17 and $42 contributions from Trumpanzees who still believe, and the rest from other Republican donor sources. I doubt a cent of it came from his own money, assuming there is, in fact, any such thing.

Thu Nov 30, 2023, 01:21 AM
Nov 2023

If you borrow $3 billion and owe $5 billion, are you a billionaire?

Answer: you are as long as you can get away with not paying your debts.

A bank higher-up who approved the (obviously shaky) loan in the first place will, for reasons that should be clear, not be eager to declare the loans as bad, because then the bank would have to remove them from their asset balance. On the other hand, if the bank can maintain the fiction that they fully expect the loans to be repaid, the bank won't have to deduct the bad loans from their asset sheet. Since some top manager pulling in seven figures a year doesn't want to be demoted to receptionist at age 58, he will cover his ass for as long as he can, and until this stops, Trump can still claim he has billions of dollars, even though none of it is really his.

His bank should have had a fraud warning on his account that would have prevented these transfers from happening. And if they did have those warnings bypassed it could only have been done with approval of an executive. Their facilitation of this is nothing short of criminal.

I'm sick of him and his enablers.

None of those things apply to him, in his mind.

And, why would he think differently? He has never had to deal with the serious consequences of disobeying them.

Let's hope that Jack Smith educates that traitorous, orange, fat piece of shit.

horsesh*t. That court ordered monitor should have demanded to know all checking and investment accounts and then gone to each one with a copy of the judges order and required each one to notify her immediately of any transfers above the limit set by the court. To not do so from the very beginning is to basically say "We know you have a long history of telling lies, fraudulent activity etc. and so we feel comfortable in trusting that you will be honest and truthful with us, this 10,000th chance you're being given, and that you will comply with the court and not be naughty."

Does it openly, brazenly and then laughs about it.

He (and his family) will be analyzed from now on by criminologists, psychologists and sociologists. Before his life of crimes is ended, we’ll continue to see crime after crime revealed. Have we ever seen such a man ever seduce so many people into believing his lies and accept them as truth? And to think he was elected to be POTUS. And after all he has done can still expect a huge number of idiots to cast their ballots for him. Shaking my head……
