RFK Jr. apologizes to family for Super Bowl ad

Source: Politico

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. apologized for a Super Bowl ad that aired Sunday from the super PAC backing his presidential campaign after it sparked backlash from his own family members.

The $7 million ad seen by tens of millions of viewers drew direct parallels between the independent candidate and his uncle, former President John F. Kennedy. It also used the exact same ad template as a JFK ad from the 1960s.

Kennedy posted an apology to X late Sunday night, saying that he was “sorry if the Super Bowl advertisement caused anyone in my family pain.”

“The ad was created and aired by the American Values Super PAC without any involvement or approval from my campaign,” he said in the post. “FEC rules prohibit Super PACs from consulting with me or my staff. I love you all. God bless you.”

But if he was following election law, he had no part in airing it.

As I watched it, I wondered where he would have gotten enough $ to buy ad time during the Superbowl. A super-pac certainly answers that question.

reincarnation is anathema, heresy, and damnation to these people. But then, they really don't know their own theology, let alone understand it! (LOL)

I was headed to the kitchen when the ad came on. I was flabbergasted. I don't know why, but I guess I just wasn't expecting a political ad during the Super Bowl. AND I thought the ad was in such bad taste, as well as being a flat out lie, ala republican-like.

BTW, while I bowed out and turned on Star Trek before the end of Super Bowl, I figured by all the M80's and the rest of the fireworks going off, that the Chiefs won. Lexie, my big scaredy-cat of a dog, came running into the bedroom, jumped into bed and glued herself to me. Such noise! All I could think of at the time was, "I wonder why they're shooting off the cannons at the Fort THIS late at night!" (LOL)

When he first came into the public eye he seemed to hold the same liberal, socially conscious, progressive and enlightened views as his father and the rest of the Kennedy family. When he was on Mike Papantonio's 'Ring of Fire' radio program they mostly focused on exposing Wall Street's excesses, corporate environmental criminality and the sort of political backstories not covered by the mainstream media.

Then he went off the rails deep into a series of conspiracy theory rabbit holes. He's wandered so far into loony left territory RWers are now bankrolling him as a stalking horse to attack mainstream Democrats. Let's face it, if his initials were not "RFK" no one would pay any attention.

Just a simple misunderstanding. Totally out of his control.

Anyone who missed it yesterday during the game, are now wondering what all the fuss is about, and will seek it out on social media, re-post it, e-mail it to their friends; he'll make an appearance on the Rupert Murdoch bullshit show, probably an interview for him to explain and "apologize."

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

I think that, and JFK's murder, kind of embedded the conspiracy theory mindset in him. The irony is those events, which actually have a lot of unanswered questions and questionable official explanations, set him down the path to ridiculousness that he is on now.

He certainly didn't help his critical thinking abilities by shooting up heroin for over a decade starting when he was 15 years old.
