ADL gives Harvard and a dozen other universities failing grades on campus antisemitism

Source: CNN

New York CNN — The Anti-Defamation League has graded 85 American universities for their policies to protect Jewish students from antisemitism on campus. It gave Harvard and 12 other schools an “F.” Just two schools got an “A.”

Reports of antisemitism on college campuses across the United States have surged after Hamas’ October 7, 2023, terror attack on Israel and the country’s devastating response. The ADL said antisemitic incidents on campus have reached historic levels, leaving Jewish students feeling unsafe.

“As I travel the country, I’m constantly hearing from Jewish families agonizing over where they will send their kids to college,” said ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt, in a statement. “School leadership must make serious changes to support Jewish communities on their campus; we expect nothing less.”

The ADL reviewed dozens of America’s top liberal arts colleges and those with the highest proportion of Jewish students. The organization provided each school with a questionnaire, and it received responses from 84% of the campuses it assessed. The ADL also considered other public information, including pending federal investigations related to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which prevents discrimination based on religion, race and sex.

So it asked the Jewish students how they "felt", at a time of heightened tension and when those same students have been told by the same people providing the survey that those same students are under attack. Tell a Jewish mom to worry, and then survey her if she's worried. That's a serious analysis?

"The organization provided each school with a questionnaire, and it received responses from 84% of the campuses it assessed. The ADL also considered other public information, including pending federal investigations related to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which prevents discrimination based on religion, race and sex."

That's it? And they considered federal investigations that have nothing necessarily to do with anti-semitism?

The funny part was ONLY asking universities with a sizable Jewish community. So the schools that have totally ostracized Jews are "ungradable"..? What grade did Liberty University get? How are the Jews doing at Oral Roberts University? Or does the ADL only beat up on its friends and allies? Too cowardly to actually confront true anti-semitism?

If Harvard in 2024 gets an "F", I wonder what the University of Munich would have gotten in 1939..? Can't get any worse than an F, right?

As a Jew myself I really wish my narrow-minded meschpucha would stop yelling at our friends, sack up, and confront actual anti-Semitism as it seethes and grows in the Republican Party.

It appears that, when you made your judgements, you were unaware of the purpose of the study, nor were you aware of extent of the rigors ADL went through in defining the scope of their survey and the methods they employed in conducting it.

Here it is for your information, from the source:
https://www.adl.org/campus-antisemitism-report-card/faqs#faqs

As you can see, the instances you highlighted in your post are far from being "it". In fact, they completely disregard the purpose of the survey.
If you were to put some minimal effort towards looking into it, you would have realized that this is a comparative assessment of the campuses to be used as "a tool for students, parents, alumni, college faculty, guidance counselors, admissions consultants and other stakeholders" in assessing attitudes towards Jewish students on the campuses included in the report. The goal of the survey is "to serve students and their families looking for information about the current state of antisemitism on campus and how particular universities and colleges are responding."

So why would you want ADL to assess campus antisemitism where there aren't significant numbers of JEWISH students, and why do you think it's funny that they didn't? Why wouldn't they use data from federal investigations that have to do with "RELIGION, RACE and sex" in a survey about ANTISEMITISM ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES? What makes you think that failures to address antisemitism on campuses come from ADL's "friends and allies"?

And what in the flying fuck does University of Munich in 1938 or your mishpucha yelling at your friends have to do with ADL's "tool for students, parents, alumni, college faculty, guidance counselors, admissions consultants and other stakeholders" for assessing AMERICAN college campuses in 2024?
