Biden campaign met with Haley voters

Juan Peñalosa, the deputy political director of President Bidens reelection campaign, held a call Wednesday night with more than a dozen Nikki Haley supporters, including former members of Haleys state leadership teams and former leaders of the Women for Haley coalition.
The meeting marked the latest outreach from the Biden campaign to Haley supporters. The campaign has made moves to persuade her supporters to vote for Biden, notably releasing a digital ad that features Trump denigrating Haley. They re-upped such criticism on Wednesday, when Haley said she would vote for Trump but warned that he should not assume that her supporters will back him.
Haley has continued to earn sizable shares of the vote in primaries since she dropped out. When she suspended her campaign in early March, many of her supporters said they were undecided or that they planned to vote for Biden. But Haley repeatedly attacked Biden in her speech Wednesday and said he has been a catastrophe.
The meeting was coordinated by Robert Schwartz, a co-founder of PrimaryPivot, a group that urged independent and Democratic voters to vote for Haley and that rebranded itself to become Haley Voters for Biden after she dropped out. He said the Haley supporters on the call are conservatives who are not likely to vote for Trump, but many of them are not yet in Bidens camp.
