As then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi fled the Capitol after it was overrun by pro-Trump rioters on Jan. 6, 2021, she grilled her top staffer on a key question: Where was the National Guard?

“You’re going to ask me — in the middle of the thing when they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff — ‘should we call … the National Guard?’” Pelosi asked her chief of staff Terri McCullough incredulously while they rode in an SUV that would take them to Fort McNair. “Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?”

The interaction was shown in a video shot by the former speaker’s daughter, documentarian Alexandra Pelosi, and recently provided to congressional investigators by HBO upon a request by Republicans pushing to undermine the findings of the previous Jan. 6 select committee. The roughly 45 minutes of footage, reviewed by POLITICO, captures extensive conversations among congressional leaders as they struggled to comprehend their rushed evacuation from the Capitol and deal with the immediate fallout.

Though clips of the speaker’s conversations that day were shown as part of the previous panel’s work, and in a separate documentary by Alexandra Pelosi, much of what was handed over recently to a House Administration subcommittee has never been released. HBO didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

He didn't have to wait for Chump to do it, HE COULD HAVE made the call HIMSELF. Why didn't he?

Pence had his family there that day and several secret service agents were watching them and making sure they got down to the safe room in the basement of the building. I'm not talking about the ones that tried to get him into the car, Pence refused because he didn't know them. Besides his wife and family were there, why would he hop into a car and leave the premises?

14. I watched the initial coverage

of what was happening......Sometimes they film stuff that hours later will be deleted, sometimes they comment on something that is happening at the time, only to disappear hours later.

Comments were made initially about how the Intelligence Community and FBI told them in the advance they should be ready for a violent mob, intent on disrupting the proceedings at the capitol. The Capitol police wanted their police to wear full army style garb, and be armed with serious weapons. Someone told them to wear normal attire, and they didn't want to make it appear that they were ready to take on a mob, for fear of inciting a mob riot......
I watched some of the DC Police, and Capitol Police who would not confront the insurrectionists, I saw some of the officers, moving the barricades aside to let the seditionists in, and moved aside and didn't confront them.
It was announced that there were national guard, with gear on, in a parking garage a few blocks from the Capitol, and that they were never told to go to protect the capitol.
The orders that were needed, to put the national guard into play, was previously arranged. One Army General had to be called, and he had to give the orders. Period. Many people were calling him, and conveniently he never answered the phone calls.....
The Maryland Governor, had his National Guard ready to go at the Maryland Border, but couldn't order them to go unless the Governor could reach that same Army General. As he watched the panamodium taking place on TV and Cable he called repeatedly to that Army General who never answered the Phone. Finally, he told the Maryland Guard to proceed to the U.S. Capitol at full speed.

ETC, ETC, ETC.

It became most obvious, in watching the coverage, that there were many Trump loyalists in the Capitol Police, D.C. Police that stood idly by or helped the insurrectionists, rather than confronting them. There was footage of them actually moving away the barricades. There were reports that the Secret Service was observing the crowd, and some of the crowd was armed, who were assembling at his earlier speech. The secret service said they wanted to set up the machines like at airports and that they wanted to screen the people who were going to the speech. They were early reports that they were told no, they didn't need to worry,"because those people weren't coming for Trump and that they all were safe".......
I still think, that if the authorities had "dropped" every person coming through the windows and doors that they had broken down, the insurrectionists would have tucked tail and run. In the real world, if a person was assaulting or trying to kill a police officer, that person would have been shot immediately......
There are a whole ton of questions to be raised about the entire violent attempted Coup, that have never been mentioned, or even investigated. There were definitely orders given from somewhere above, intended to do nothing to impede the Riot.
And where is the investigation into Republican congress people giving guided tours of the Capitol in previous days, and pointing out where certain politicians offices were???????
I kept watching, and waited for them to confront any of the Secret Service inside protecting members of congress and Pence. If the crowd had even approached any of them, they would have all been dropped right there and then. The Secret Service is highly trained to neutralize any threat, with a massive show of force.....
