Pro-Palestinian protesters arrested for interrupting Thanksgiving parade

Source: ABC News

November 28, 2024, 6:50 PM

More than two dozen Pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested for blocking the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday.

For the second year in a row, the demonstrators jumped the barriers and ran into West 55th Street just before 9:30 a.m. The exact charges the 25 protesters will be facing are still pending, and their identities have not been released.

The protesters sat on the ground, locking their arms and chanting, "Free, free Palestine!" Others held a banner behind them that said: "Don’t celebrate genocide! Arms embargo now."

The brief interruption had spectators booing -- and then cheering as NYPD officers intervened. The parade was delayed for about five minutes as the 25 protesters were removed from the road.

positive change with Harris-Walz, but literally blew it with most of the uncommitted and Muslim population in those swing states deciding to essentially sit this one out.

We will see how well that works out when the sociopath takes over.

2. From the river to the sea definitely isn't a call for genocide. These people don't even know what genocide is.

The only time I've ever heard that phrase used outside of news reports, it was by a Jewish settler family, and they definitely were in favor of forced removal of all Palestinians from the former Gaza and West Bank. Whether that removal was to be accomplished via boat, truck, or genocide wasn't especially important to them.

The "message" they think they are sending to the world is doing the opposite of what it is supposed to achieve. They are making people who had no opinion either way before just before seeing these antics on TV and they feel negative towards their cause.

13. Like 25 people have the right to ruin a 100 year old tradition for 5 million New Yorkers.

I hope the NYPD dumped them in the Hudson River with the rest of the pollution.

The ironic thing is that probably over a million of those attending the parade, and pissed at the disruption (if they even saw it) would have sympathized if it had been done at an appropriate time and place.
