AP: Suspected Shooter’s Connection To School Still Unknown

Source: TPM

IGOR BOBIC 8:54 AM EST, SATURDAY DECEMBER 15, 2012

Contrary to previous reports, the connection between the suspected gunman's mother, Nancy Lanza, and the elementary school where the shooting took place in Newtown, Conn. is still under investigation, the Associated Press reports:

A law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity said investigators believe Lanza attended the school several years ago but appeared to have no recent connection to it.

At least one parent said Lanza's mother was a substitute teacher there. But her name did not appear on a staff list. And the official said investigators were unable to establish any connection so far between her and the school.

the whole Benghazi stinky-poo dustup, just for the record.

Namely, that the "fog of war" surrounds even the most seemingly clear-cut of events that take place right in our own backyard. Here we have had the wrong assailant identified by the news, still uncertain information about his mother (a victim), about his relationship to the school, about any kind of motivation for the incident.

This event took place in a tony hamlet an hour-and-a-half from New York City where everyone knows each other, surrounded by our own police investigators and media on the scene: the answers, even 24 hours later, have been confused, conflicting, and incomplete. And yet we had an entire Congress up in arms over the administration's (and by extension, Ambassador Rice's) inability to give definitive answers about an event in a foreign country that had recently undergone revolution, with unknown players and none of our own investigators able to penetrate a very dangerous foreign zone.

I'm just saying. Because I'm still pissed off about that fake outrage.

when the CIA is involved with overthrowing regimes., that you are not going to get the truth from either Parties. They both are playing Politics to make the other seem weak. The CIA and Admistration don't want to give out classified information and John McCain and his Republican hacks knows it, so they probably are taking advantage of a covert operation which is legal by the CIA's own authorization given by Congress. I've said this before and will say it again, Ambassador Stevens was the only American in a non military role killed. The other three were with the CIA and two of those three died in a fire fight less than a mile from this supposedly consulate at the CIA Annex. Covert operations can be defined by using fronts in foreign countries, to disrupt it. THe CIA is like Israel's Massad ir even Iran's secret intelligence forces that sneak weapons into other countries. McCain probably is using the fact, information has to be classified and if the truth came out, the administration would be leaking. so he can go in the Public and manufacture the Administration is covering Benghazi up. Technically that would be true if it is a covert operation that is authorized by Congress. it would have place even more pressure on Susan Rice to let something slip also if McCain kept it up by interrogating her for nomination of SOS. THat would have been another reason for her to reframe too. So the bottomline, is I think McCain is playing politics with National Security and don't care. His goal is to make Obama look weak on Foreign Policy and its personal.
