Two al Qaeda suspects killed in Yemen drone strike-official

Source: Reuters

ADEN, Yemen - Two suspected al Qaeda-linked insurgents were killed in a drone strike in Yemen's eastern region of Hadramout on Friday, a local security official said.

The two men were riding a motorcycle west of the coastal town of al-Sheher when the pilotless aircraft fired at them, the official told Reuters, declining to be named. He gave no further details of the identity of those killed.

On Monday, at least five people were killed in two drone strikes in Yemen, one of them also in Hadramout, the first such attacks in several weeks.

The United States has escalated its use of drones against al Qaeda in Yemen. The Islamist group exploited mass anti-government unrest last year to seize swathes of territory in the south before being driven out by a military offensive in June.

When the top leaders are killed off there is others who take their place in the pecking order so its possible to kill the top leaders as soon as the new one steps up which I suppose in some cases only takes a few hours. I'm not sure how an operation like Al Queda is structured but it seems to me that as leaders are deposed new ones crop up to fill the void.

(death and destruction) from America, only increases the number of "terrorists" in the world.
My God, when "suspects" are murdered (even by remote control) it does nothing to the organization "we" are fighting except to exponentially increase their numbers. It is only common sense (not too common anymore).
I suspect that by actually writing this piece, that Big Brother will put my name on a terrorist list.
For one thing the citizens in that area, are in large numbers, psychologically still living in a 7th century mentality. America has encouraged this very much. ie...to occupy the minds of the citizens in Saudi Arabia, the "royal family" (assisted by U.S.) financed thousands of Madrassa's where the disciples are brainwashed into a violent form of Islam and nationalism. Extremely helpful for Bandahar and his minions until it bit them in the ass.
There is too much to say about these atrocities and only so much time in a day.
IMO, we need to get the hell out of the middle east and let the elites who created the problems (just as the elites who created our disastrous circumstances) deal with it.
We ALL know it is about money and oil (and class warfare). We need to deal with our evil elites (including the barbaric drone policies), before we can close this recurring "gilded era" chapter, once and for all.

life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness....really?

Al Quieda (?) has no problem filling their leadership voids as soon as they happen. I was attempting to expand on why that is. I apologize if I was too aggressive. This policy obviously has no impact on that organization, other than to recruit...

know if these men were Al Qaeda or not, but the U.S. needs some boundaries here. They apparently can go anywhere in the World and label someone Al Qaeda with these Drone strikes. And the Governments they are talking about, are not Democratic Governments. This is a license for an unlimited War. The people in Congress are disrespecting us too. I think they need to be ringed in by us. They are too power hungry. I have a better word more to the point but some might think it is disruptive.

Is there only one group allowed to use force for political purposes?

OR, does the use of force like this legitimate the use of violence against the USA?
