House committee sends same-sex marriage bill to House floor [RI]

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- With a unanimous vote, the House Judiciary Committee did Tuesday what no previous committee had done, sending a bill to legalize same-sex marriage to the floor of the Rhode Island House of Representatives.
Representative Arthur Handy's bill, H 5015, could be voted on by the full House as early as Thursday.
