Impact of Sequestration on the National Institutes of Health

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by pinto (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

Source: National Institutes of Health

On March 1, 2013, as required by statute, President Obama signed an order initiating sequestration. The sequestration requires NIH to cut 5 percent or $1.55 billion of its fiscal year (FY) 2013 budget. Well, the republicans have always promised that they will work for the day the US government was small enough to drown it in a bathtub - and they are working very hard to make it a reality - one sick person at a time.. If the Democratic party was smart, they would use the use of the sequestration - and the evidences who is here to all to se - to destroy the republicans chance to ever got a foothold in the Congress and Senate for the next 10 years.. What the republicans are doing now is the same as killing ordinary americans - because medical research is the same as survival for many...

The GOP have really fallen down from the ages of Eisenhower - thats for true
