It was entertaining as hell, and quite risque, too. It's called Million Dollar Mermaid, and it's a heck of a read.

She lived quite a life.

I think she said he exposed himself quite brazenly to her when they first met on the set for a picture they made together.

A lot of her fans were not happy with her when she wrote about Jeff Chandler being a cross-dresser.

More troublesome to me was her being completely subservient to third husband Fernando Lamas.

He was handsome, but he was a jerk.

Esther Williams was all too happy being a doormat for her third husband, Fernando Lamas, who was an insanely jealous individual who required, as condition for his returned marital fidelity, that she have a separate residence for her three children and be completely submissive to him. She had to flit from one house to the other for the simple reason Lamas couldn't bear the thought she ever had children with another man (her second husband, Ben Gage). She gave up her career for that ass, but he was handsome as hell and great in bed, according to her, so he had a few good points. He did actually live up to his end of the agreement.

Lamas died in 1982, and she remarried a few years later to somebody who treated her a lot better.
