Scott Walker Boots Joshua Inglett, Student Who Signed Recall Petition, From Regent Appointment

Source: Huffington Post

Days after Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) appointed the student who would sit on the state Board of Regents, the administration announced that it would keep looking.

Thursday morning, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported, an aide of the governor called Joshua Inglett, a University of Wisconsin-Platteville rising junior, to tell him he was not getting the position after it came to light the student signed a petition to force Walker's 2012 recall election

"They had four months to look this up and Google-search me," Inglett told the Journal Sentinel. "I looked it up online yesterday. It took me 15 seconds."

Inglett told the Journal Sentinel he discussed the petition with one of Walker's aides over the phone, and acknowledged he did sign it two years earlier. The following morning, he was told the governor would withdraw Inglett's nomination.

But Walker, who named Inglett on Monday, won't say the withdrawal was related to the petition.

Cowardly, petty, vindictive, and hyperpartisan.

Yep, that about covers it.

Although I'm sure I've left some things out.

Can't stand any possible dissent, past or present. I can't image the antics when he becomes a lame duck - scorched earth will be an understatment.

Can you just see when he gets re-elected he will use the recall lists to go after more people. As he and the koch's take over Wisconsin they will target people who signed the recall petitions. It is chilling to think this will be wisconsin's future or maybe America's future if the koch's buy his way into the white house. Scary chilling and downright evil is what I see in walker.

If the shoe were on the other foot and the Gov. of California had appointed a student to a non-partisan
board or committee and then found that student had signed some teabagger petition......
I would EXPECT that governor to withdraw that appointment.

This is how the game of politics is played.

Non-partisan is just that. Stacking the board with your cronies ceases to make it non-partisan, regardless of what side you are on.

If the kid is qualified for the post, then his politics are his own and shouldn't be a factor. He got nominated, after all.
