North Carolina Shooting: 4 injured near Greenville, N.C. Wal-Mart, suspect in custody, report says

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Four people were wounded in a shooting in or around a law firm and a Wal-Mart in Greenville, N.C. Friday afternoon, CBS affiliate WNCT reports.

According to the station, Greenville Police Chief Hassan Aden confirmed a suspect was in custody at about 1:15 p.m.

Police reportedly fired on the shooter after he turned the weapon on authorities. Aden said the shooter's condition is unknown, the station reports.

Aden reportedly said both the Kellum Law Firm and the Wal-Mart in Greenville are now considered crime scenes. He added that the victims were shot in both locations, according to the station. Another was reportedly shot outside the retail store.

which has been passing bill after bill after bill expanding the places
one can carry concealed weapons, including:

bars, locked cars (right ) on any public school campus, parades, funerals

to protect myself from all the gun nuts... seriously, I'm not afraid of criminals it is the crazies that worry me....

(just kidding about buying a gun, I'd shoot myself in the foot, ala Barney)

Revolutionary War reenactment stuff he has done with his relatives.

Both were stolen out of our garage last year. He didn't have them locked up--
and an a/c guy who had come to do maintenance asked me if 'those were guns?'.
I told hubby he needed to lock them up...some weeks later he asks me what I did with them.

Duh. The a/c guy probably stole them.

I spent a summer working at the hospital in Greenville and used to shop at that Wal-Mart occasionally. Interesting that in any town in NC the police chief would be named Hassan Aden.

Honestly, given the way things are now, I'm not even surprised that these things are now happening in my hometown. But I guess that's what happens when there's seemingly a major shooting somewhere every week. I guess it's just Greenville's turn.

But no, we certainly don't have a gun problem...
