Plane carrying drugs intercepts Obama 'No-Fly' zone

LONG BEACH, Ca. -- A single-engine aircraft broke the temporary flight restriction around LAX as President Barack Obama was returning to the airport aboard Marine One, sources told NBC News.

NORAD fighter jets immediately surrounded the Cessna 172 and escorted the plane to the Long Beach Airport, where law enforcement discovered marijuana in the aircraft.

The F-16s scrambled out of March Air Reserve Base in Riverside County, according to NORAD.

there were perhaps planes carrying drugs circling the chimp, too. They just were invited guests instead of air space violators.

shoe thrower.

I support the President on many things - but gratuitiously kissing politicians' butts, even in jest, isn't the line I cross.

I imagine that what one person may perceive as "gratuitiously kissing politicians' butts" may often, and just as validly be perceived as "making a joke". However, I imagine we perceive the things we do as to better validate our own presumptions of what others intend... regardless of whether our interpretations are correct or not.

Yet good for you on maintaining the strength of your convictions in avoiding contextual humor...

At any rate, both aviators and boaters around here should be very, very aware of what kinds of restrictions there are when the President is in town.

We were boarded by the Coast Guard while sailing under the LAX flight path when Bush was here about 5 years ago. They take this very, very seriously.
