'Real Housewives' stars Teresa and Joe Giudice charged with fraud, feds say

Two stars of the popular reality television show "Real Housewives of New Jersey" have been charged in a 39-count federal indictment with conspiring to defraud lenders and illegally obtain mortgages, announced New Jersey's U.S. Attorney, Paul Fishman, this afternoon.

In addition, "Real Housewives" stars Teresa Giudice and her husband, Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, are accused in the indictment of hiding assets and income during a bankruptcy case, authorities said.

Both stars of the hit Bravo TV show face the prospect of spending many years in prison if convicted of the charges against them, Fishman also said today.

Teresa Giudice, the 41-year-old star of "Real Housewives" -- who like her husband, Giuseppe, is known on the program for her fiery temper and strong personality -- released a statement through her lawyer less than 70 minutes after Fishman announced a litany of charges against the couple.

3. Joking aside I feel terrible for their children. The oldest daughter has enough problems

growing up in that crazy house. I can't imagine what it will be like for the kids when they go back to school. I hope Teresa shuts her mouth and let her brother care for the kids. I know if nothing else he loves those kids.

But this does not surprised me about the Guidice family at all. Feel bad for those kids though.

Most of the people on those shows are frauds and Republicans. Andy Cohen knew exactly what he was getting. For the most part Cohen is a chauvinist. He propagates the most shallow aspect of womanhood. He is also class and wealth conscience. He is loving this scandal for the ratings.
