Barbara Bush discharged from hospital, spokesman says

Source: CNN.com

(CNN) -- Former first lady Barbara Bush was discharged from Houston Methodist Hospital on Saturday, a family spokesman said.

"I cannot thank the doctors and nurses at Houston Methodist enough for making sure I got the best treatment and got back to George and our dogs as quickly as possible," Bush said.

She was released after six days of treatment for pneumonia, a family statement said.

Apparently reports of her death were premature.

for all Americans?? Just imagine, the poor and sick able to walk in and be treated by a family doctor before they are near death from possibly minor illnesses.

The elite, wealthy just take this shit for granted. No offense to the old hag, but I'm THRILLED that even the poorest among us can now get in for medical care when it is needed. To hell with fox and their minions of empty-headed teabaggers.

No, I don't sit around on my computer all day. It indeed strange that you level this slur especially from someone who has thousands of posts. You don't even make sense. "Its just too convenient that you claim it afterward." What in world are you referring to? The fact is that I am responding from the food bank where I volunteer. We have been overwhelmed and hoping that people who are more fortunate respond with either cash donations or food. The situation is desperate for many. I drive by a Goodwill store nearly every morning and the parking lot is jammed with people which is indicative of the plight of many of our fellow citizens. I have a friend that volunteers there and she told me that they can't get enough warm kids clothing.

Yeah, you were talking about a supposed "senior" AQ member, but honestly, do you truly believe this woman and her horrid offspring have done less damage in the world? I certainly don't. And I while I wouldn't openly celebrate her death, I don't believe she deserves a peaceful one.

That alone should be enough to make someone at least indifferent to her.

But for those of us who lost loved ones in the Bushes' wars -- or otherwise have suffered because of this family -- well, perhaps we are not so evolved as to be able to wish them well. To be clear, I don't wish to see her meet a violent end, as I suspect some might have interpreted. Rather, I would hope that in her final years (or even moments), she somehow recognizes the damage done by her and her immediate family, can summon the emotional intelligence to empathize with the pain of those who've suffered as a result, and then becomes truly remorseful. Only then do I believe she deserves peace.

But as Kingofalldems suggests, this discussion is going nowhere. And, like Mrs Bush, perhaps we should all put our beautiful minds to use elsewhere.
