Egypt's Mubarak convicted of graft, gets 3 years

Source: Associated Press

CAIRO (AP) -- A Cairo court on Wednesday convicted ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak of embezzlement and sentenced him to three years in prison.

The graft case against the 86-year-old Mubarak, who is kept in custody at a military hospital, is one of two against the former president who was ousted in a popular uprising in 2011 after nearly three decades in power. He is being retried over the killings of hundreds of protesters during the uprising.

Mubarak's two sons, one-time heir apparent Gamal and wealthy businessman Alaa, were also convicted Wednesday of graft and sentenced to four years in prison each in the same case.

The three Mubaraks were convicted of charges that they embezzled millions of dollars' worth of state funds in over a decade toward the end of Hosni Mubarak's rule. The funds were meant for renovating and maintaining presidential palaces but were instead spent on upgrading the family's private residences.

He embezzled (stole) MILLION$ of dollars and gets sentenced to 3 years in "prison."

If any of us poor folks did that we would have gotten life sentences....

So, they even have 2 sets of laws at the Hague?

One set of laws for the wealthy (like a Dupont raping his infant children and getting no prison time, probation, or even having his children removed from his custody)
A totally different, set of (VERY HARSH) LAWS FOR US SERFS..
If I or another member of my socioeconomic class had stolen million$, we would have never been free again.

I think that it is time for a NWO. One that treats everyone equally. The wealthy in America have Socialism, no worries.
We DESERVE that much more than the elite, but I would share...

prefer not to spend 3 years of my life in the slammer.

It may very well amount to a life sentence.

Our last president not only "lost" billions, but piled war crimes on top of it, and he and his cronies are doing speaking tours and making awful paintings.

Arguably, the most powerful men (?) in the world. How sick.
There is so much so much to be said but the NSA would probably drone me or send me to Siber er ah Guantanamo.
