Deputies: At least five killed in shooting in NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -
Deputy constables say at least five people have been killed in a shooting in northwest Harris County and a standoff is underway with the gunman.
The shooting happened late Wednesday afternoon in the 700 block of Leaflet in the Spring area. The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office says seven people were shot and five of those people were killed.
From Sky 2 aerials, several ambulances could be seen. LifeFlight transported at least two people with gunshot wounds.

The suspect, who deputies say is a relative of the victims, fled the scene. Precinct 4 says they believed he was going to another residence at Anvil and Ella to possibly attack more family members.

(14,265 posts)... I continue to be amazed that so few seem to get that laws must be changed. There is a far too permissive attitude in both the laws and enforcement thereof when it comes to guns, and innocent people are dying.
Columbine changed nothing. Virginia Tech changed nothing. Aurora changed nothing. Newtown changed nothing.
Dark days. Dark times.

(520 posts)The mass shootings have become so commonplace that I am frightened to find that I barely notice them anymore. It's like the terrorism in "Brazil" where it happens so often people don't even look up from dinner.
