A Frisco police detective who investigated major crimes from 2011 to 2013 had inappropriate relationships with four women tied to his cases, possibly jeopardizing future criminal trials.
Scott Greer, 42, resigned from the department May 5 after a homicide investigation in Melissa uncovered emails of a sexual nature, including nude photographs, between Greer and the victim. The woman was also a victim in a Frisco case Greer investigated. The discovery prompted an audit completed last month of his work that confirmed three additional instances of misconduct.
Greer had most recently worked as a school resource officer in Frisco ISD. Before that, he worked in the criminal investigations division as a detective.
Prosecutors in a capital murder case in Collin County this week declined to call Greer to testify because of his misconduct. Denton County prosecutors say hes been put on their list of banned witnesses because he lacks credibility.
