U.S. Army sending division HQ element to Iraq

WASHINGTON — The 1st Infantry Division headquarters will deploy to Iraq soon as the U.S. military steps up its campaign against Islamic State militants, the Pentagon said Thursday.

Why is he so insistent that no troops will be sen when it's obvious they will have to be at some point? It only gives the right mor things to attack him with.

Because Division Headquarters consists of the brass and their assistants, who do not, as a rule, engage in combat.

But yes. Bring the brain, and the body will follow. I don't see exactly how President Obama will rationalize sending combat troops for the Division Headquarters to supervise, having promised "no combat troops." How would the press release be written?
