House GOP may tweak abortion bill to quell revolt
Up to two dozen Republicans many of them women might vote against the 20-week abortion ban, GOP sources say.

The House Republican leadership is weighing changes to a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks, in the midst of a revolt by both moderate and female Republicans.
The legislation, which was slated to come up for a vote Thursday, unexpectedly ran into aggressive headwinds both during last weeks Republican legislative retreat in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and again during a series of small meetings this week in the Capitol..................
..........But the House Rules Committee, which charts the path for legislation, has been told to stand by for the possibility of an emergency meeting a sign that the bill might be altered. The legislation was scheduled for consideration Thursday to coincide with the annual anti-abortion March for Life event and the anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.
House Republican leaders were first alerted that some female lawmakers had issues with the exemption language last week before the GOP retreat. At least half a dozen women then went to Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) to push for a change.............

My guess is that the 20 wk National ban will still be in the bill. Repubs love Big Gov't when it comes to controlling women's bodies
