Mike Huckabee Plans To Run For President To Fight The 'Secular Theocracy'

Source: Right Wing Watch-1 hour ago

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee was the guest this morning on Reverend James Robison's "Life Today" television program, and declared that he is thinking about running for president in order to fight what Robison called the "secular theocracy" that is destroying Christian liberty in America. "We've divorced ourselves from an understanding that we cannot survive as a republic if we do not become once again a God-centered nation that understands that our laws do not come from man, they come from God," he said. "It is the natural law of God."

After insisting that he is not intending to create his own theocracy, Robison piped up to declare that "we have a theocracy right now; it is a secular theocracy" and Huckabee readily agreed. "That's it!" Huckabee said. "It is a humanistic, secular, atheistic, and even antagonistic toward Christian faith, and that's what we need to understand. Our basic fundamental rights are being robbed from us, taken from us piece by piece."

Later, Huckabee asked for the audience to pray that God's hand will be upon as he decides whether to run for president.

"The only thing worse than not being elected president would be to be elected president without God's blessing," he said. "I can't think of a worse place in the world to be than in the Oval Office without God's hand upon you. I'd rather not get near the place."

The bullshit camouflage you erect as running against some supposed theocracy is chutzpah beyond the beyond. Crafty but sloppy.

Or is he really really that bull-witted to believe that ANY system that's not a christian theocracy is actually a secular theocracy of some other kind? That's a classic case of circular logic.

This is not the teaching of Jesus that Huckabee wants to push on us but Paul doctorine - convert everyone or else. I don't need a government to tell me how to practice my faith, my faith is personal. I don't want a Government telling me how to pray or how to live my life or creating Sharia-type laws from a portion of the Bible that not only did Jesus disregard as important laws to follow but he himself disregarded many of them. (When the disciples asked him what the most important laws were Jesus said to 'Love one Another' - I think we can all live by that law).

Our Founding Fathers specifically created a Constitution that was to be FREE of Government interference over religion. Remember many of these original settlers came from European nations where if you were a follower of the wrong form of religion you could be branded a heretic and burned at the stake. When rulers changed so did the religion of choice. The Founding Fathers wanted to prevent that from happening in the new land they were creating.

Huckabee may call himself a 'Christian' but he's nothing more than a charlatan trying to control the masses over a 2000 year old book he misuses.

Ha, ha, ha, the title is longer than the book. All his books are very short and superficial, just a way to make some cash. His 2006 book, "Quit Digging Your Grave With a Knife and Fork" was only 176 pages. Evidently his 12 step program didn't work, as he's put all that weight and more back on (FOX must be fattening).

Newt Gingrich does the same time, shallow books and videos - take some time off to run for president and get some publicity, then back to conning the suckers.

Well, firstly, "Secular Theocracy" is a contradiction in terms, but these simple-minded fucks probably can't spell "contradiction," let alone define it.

And I believe the Constitution specifically forbids the establishment of a state religion, so that blows the whole "Christian Nation" bullshit out of the water.

Lying, manipulative con artists like Huckabee and Robison enrage me. They are no different than any other religious fanatics that twist and distort Scripture to justify their own malignant acts.

I think it was H.L. Mencken who said something like, "Religion is the greatest fomentor of hatred and intolerance in the history of humanity."

"I'm not prejudiced. I despise all religions equally."

Go hug a puppy Huck + take your son raised with ' good ' (WM) music with you too!

But if Mike Huckabee makes it to Pennsylvania Avenue, should we expect Michael Vick to sleep in the Lincoln bedroom?
David Huckabee “admitted to catching a stray dog during their summer session at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, AR, and hanging the dog by his neck, slitting his throat and stoning him to death”

Huckabee’s eldest and tubbiest son, David, would have made Vick proud when he was 18 and fired from his Boy Scout counseling job for torturing and killing a stray dog. David most recently made headlines when he was arrested for forgetting about the Glock pistol in his bag at the Little Rock airport.

Humanism they make want to check that out ,,,but no it is evil and must be defeated
Humanism is a philosophical and ethical stance that emphasizes the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively, and generally prefers critical thinking and evidence (rationalism, empiricism) over established doctrine or faith

How about just showing his face and telling us that he wants us to all be Christians?

Then again maybe your Christian god is one of the lesser gods and not the all powerful one. Do you want to talk about world peace or any of those other problems Huck? If you have the right god it must be his nap time because (s)he isn't answering very many prayers.
