US-Backed Naked Kiev Aggression on Donbas - thepeoplesvoice.org

US-Backed Naked Kiev Aggression on Donbas
January 20th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Ukraine is America's newest colony. Illegitimate fascist governance in Europe's heartland.

US installed puppet leaders run things. Threatening to destabilize the entire continent. Waging war on their own people.

Naked aggression by any standard. Dirty war. Without mercy. Using chemical and other banned weapons.

Warplanes and artillery attack civilian neighborhoods. According to Russia's Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) representative:

"Whereas previously, Donetsk was shelled by non-controlled units of the National Guard and the so-called territorial battalions, today it is absolutely obvious that residential quarters are being shelled by regular units of the Ukrainian army."

"Apart from that, the Ukrainian side used bomber aircraft for the first time after a long pause."

So-called ceasefire agreed on terms earlier are pure fantasy. Kiev systematically spurned them. Now waging full-scale war.

Premeditated aggression. With full US support and encouragement. Washington already supplies Ukraine with heavy weapons and funding.

This "article" is a burst-fire of short sentences, hammering buzzwords into the reader's mind without delivering actual information. And that little bit of information it actually attempts to get across is hearsay or cherry-picked from various other news-outlets, without providing any citation whatsoever where the reader could find the original article where thepeoplesvoice.org found this information.
In other news, Reuters reported that Obama likes my spaghetti.

And read the mission-statement of the site!

Translation: "We are the righteous rebels fighting against the bid bad empire!"
What happened to the good old "Wake up, sheeple?"

@newthinking: This advice is for free: Only read articles from people who know how to write an article and who don't parade their political agenda around like a badge of honor.

I know that for many the idea these days is to only follow sources that match their current perception. There are those here that are continually "blacklisting" traditional liberal and progressive sources because their own views have moved.

Personally, I do indeed look at multiple sources and keep in mind that it is very difficult to find any one source that has integrity and no axe to grind, but also has funds for professional writers, research integrity, and is willing to include information that could affect their funding sources and other revenue; and is willing to spend the time/effort rather than simply pick up snippets from government sources, which is the basis anymore of most desk reporting in mainstream media.

Progressive people do tend to attempt to find out the truth and while they have a particular view, they don't usually purposely mislead, while tabloid media will actually purposely mislead and distort. Which is something else to consider.

You complain about other people only reading what they want to hear.
And then you post a badly-sourced article that is dripping with uncorroborated accusations and loaded terms and which was written by a site with a political agenda.

Seriously.

Brutal austerity and selling their country to the IMF and oligarchs who control it is great! Just ask Greece (who is said to be the new role model for Ukraine - even those in the East sitting on all those longed- for resources who aren't stupid, and are rejecting it).

And some got cookies!
